Become a Member
We offer several membership categories based on your current practice. Memberships run annually from January to December, regardless of when you join in that year, and must be renewed in January. Individuals who have been members of the MLA for 45 years are granted Honourary Member status and do not pay annual dues.
Lawyer - Regular

Applies to all lawyers who were called to the bar prior to 2023.
Paralegal - Regular

Applies to paralegals who hold an LSO P1 license and who were licensed prior to 2023.
Lawyer - New Call

Applies to lawyers who are LSO L1 or L2 licensees and who were called to the Bar in the current year or previous year (2 years only)
Paralegal - New Licensee

Applies to all paralegals who are LSO P1 licensees and who were licensed in the current year or previous year (2 years only).
Lawyer - Parental Leave
$101.70
Applies to MLA members who will not be practicing law, due to the arrival of a child. This reduced rate will apply for one year only.
Paralegal - Parental Leave

Lawyer - Non-Practicing

Applies to LSO L1 and L2 members who are not currently practicing but would like to maintain a membership.

Retired

Applies to MLA members who have retired from the practice of law but who would still like to retain their membership benefits.
Honourary Member
FREE
Honourary Member status is automatically bestowed upon lawyers who have belonged to the Middlesex Law Association for 45 years and is based upon our membership records. Honourary members do not pay annual dues and have full membership privileges. However, if the Honourary Member has a locker at the courthouse, rental payment is still due.
Payment can be made by credit card online, e-transfer (library@middlaw.on.ca), or by cheque to Middlesex Law Association.
