Our MLA Board’s Social Committee will be hosting a combined Courthouse Tour/Winter Social on Thursday, December 15th from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Practice Resource Centre/Courthouse Library. *Members can register for both or for the tour and social separately.
Courthouse Tour is 5:00-6:00 p.m.
*This tour will be accredited for 1 hour of professionalism content.
Courthouse staff will take us on a tour of updated courtroom spaces and provide an overview of technology upgrades as well as the uses of varied spaces throughout the building including the new jury selection space. There will also be a portion on courtroom etiquette and protocol led by MLA member and Siskinds Senior Partner, Jim Virtue. This tour will be of particular interest to New Calls and/or lawyers whose work is requiring a return to in-person hearings after a long hiatus.
Winter Social is 5:30-7:30 p.m.
This will include a drink ticket and some wonderful appetizers/treats to enjoy as you connect with colleagues. We look forward to welcoming everyone back into the Practice Resource Centre/Library and sharing some cheer with the MLA membership!
